Lionhead Motorsports – Event Information & Requirements
I try to keep as many of the events in and around the Alberta Beach area as possible but also have meets in Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, Devon and Edmonton. Depending on the event there might be some rock/wood crawling, long tail runs or even a mud bog. If you wish to join in on any event check that your vehicle meets the requirements listed and remember to register five days prior to the event your interested in by contacting me though the site. There are also no fees of any kind for any event offered here, all I ask is everyone respects each other and their R/Cs.
Lionhead Motorsports – 2022 Event Listing
Lionhead Family Day Run Location: Private Location
Event Date: February 19th Time: 1:00 – 4:00 PM
Details: This event is open to all scale Trail/Rock Racer vehicles and will be a general fun run. There are no plans to have a specific course setup, just come and have fun. Its suppose to be rather mild with no to little snow but dress appropriately.
Lionhead Easter Trail Project Weekend Location: Private Location
Event Date: April 15th – 18th Time: 12:00 – 4:00 PM
Details: The decent weather appears to have arrived so the plan is to begin cleaning up and modifying the private Trail Course on March 15th through the 18th. If you would like to help with seasonal cleanup, expand or implement your ideas in the space let me know. Remember to bring your trail/rock vehicle if you want to test any changes once the work is done. Open to all scale trail/rock racer vehicles.
Lionhead Spring Shakedown Location: Devon
Event Date: May 8th Time: 12:00 – 3:00 PM
Details: Have you picked up some new upgrades or changed your setup? Then come and test them out at this event, there will be lots of varied terrain and obstacles as we explore the Devon area. Open to all scale trail/rock racer vehicles.
Lionhead Spring Break Run Location: Private Location / Devon
Event Date: May 21st Time: 11:00 – 5:00 PM
Details: This event will start off at the private trail course and depending on how it goes might continue on to Devon. The run will consist of freely exploring the areas and testing your skills. Open to all scale trail/rock racer vehicles.
Lionhead Summer Start Run Location: Private Location
Event Date: June 26th Time: 11:00 – 5:00 PM
Details: This event will be held at the private location and is open to all scale trail/rock racer vehicles. Hotdogs and drinks will also be provided for this kick off event. The run will consist of freely exploring the areas and testing your skills.
Lionhead Beat the Heat Location: Devon
Event Date: July 9th Time: 12:00 – 3:00 PM
Details: Time to beat the summer heat, this event will take place in Devon down by the river. The run will consist of freely exploring the rocks, sand and water. Open to all scale trail/rock racer vehicles.
Lionhead Fall Break Run Location: Private Location Alberta Beach
Event Date: August 13th Time: 1:00 – 3:00 PM
Details: Fall is in the air and its a great time to get some RC’n in with cooler temperatures. This event will start off at the south side walking trail and continue for the complete loop which has plenty of hills and other obstacles to challenge you. Open to all scale trail/rock racer vehicles.
Lionhead Edmonton Run Location: Edmonton
Event Date: September 10th Time: 1:00 – 4:00 PM
Details: This event will be our one and only Edmonton run for the year. Anyone who hasn’t done the Edmonton run it consists of numerous areas to explore by the river with some light rock crawling, open forestry areas and other unique challenges. Open to all scale trail/rock racer vehicles.
Lionhead Thanksgiving Run Location: Private Location
Event Date: October 8th Time: 11:00 – 5:00 PM
Details: This event will start off at the private trail course and the run will consist of freely exploring the areas and testing your skills. Open to all scale trail/rock racer vehicles. This run is our season closer so come by and enjoy a little RC’n and some hot dogs/drinks before winter hits.

Here you can find information on the club services, such as getting free accessories & more. Custom license plates take time and will only be offered twice a season. If you need help with repairs/soldering contact me as these are heavily time dependent, please don’t show up to a event needing significant repairs/soldering as I likely won’t be able to help you.
